The terms for using this website and for working with JPS Designs: quotes, payments, changes, cancelling and ownership. Last updated 31 October 2026.

These terms cover using this website and working with JPS Designs ("we", "us"), the trading name of Jeremiah Indo Martinez, a sole trader in Ipswich, Queensland. We've kept them short and in plain English.

Using this website

The information on this site is general. Prices shown, and the totals the site works out when you pick options, are starting prices only; the price for your project is the one in your written quote.

The demo site we show (Demo Plumbing, Demo Electrical, Demo Landscapes, Demo Café, Demo Hair and Demo Physio) is a demonstration built for made-up businesses. Their names, addresses, phone numbers, licence and registration numbers, prices, menus and reviews are placeholders, and its quote form sends nothing.

This site links to other websites. We're not responsible for their content.

Quotes

Before any work starts, we give you a written quote that sets out what we'll do, the price, the timeline, and the payment schedule. Work starts once you accept the quote and pay the deposit, which is half the quoted price unless your quote says otherwise. Each quote says how long it's valid for.

If you ask for something that isn't in the quote, we'll tell you the extra cost and get your OK before doing it.

Paying online

We send invoices that you can pay online by card. Online payments are processed by Stripe, and Stripe emails you a receipt for each payment. Fixed-price services, such as domain, email and hosting setup, are paid in advance.

Your part

You'll give us the content we need (such as your logo, service details and photos) and the access we need (such as to your domain account). Timelines depend on getting these. You confirm that you have the right to use anything you give us, and that it's accurate.

Payments

You pay according to the schedule in your quote. We're not registered for GST, so no GST is added to our prices or invoices. Your quote lists everything you’ll pay for. The only other costs are ones that belong to you and are paid at cost: your domain’s yearly renewal, and any paid add-on you choose, such as a booking system or a paid email mailbox. We tell you the amount before you pay any of them. If we ever charge a fee for paying by card, it’s shown on the invoice before you pay and is no more than it costs us. If a payment is more than 14 days overdue, we'll let you know and may pause work until it's paid. We won't take your site offline over a payment dispute without giving you written notice and a reasonable chance to sort it out.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel a project, a setup or website care at any time. What you pay, and what we refund, is set out in our refund policy, which forms part of these terms. None of it affects your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Who owns what

• Your domain is registered in your name.
• Once you've paid in full, you own the website's design, code and the content we wrote for you, and we'll give you the files on request.
• Things made by others, such as fonts, licensed photos and third-party tools, stay under their own licences. We'll tell you about any that cost money.
• We may show your site in our portfolio once it's live. Tell us if you'd rather we didn't.

Credits and licences

This site’s typeface is Archivo, by the Archivo Project Authors, used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 (licence). The photos in our demo site come from Unsplash, under the Unsplash Licence. The screenshots of the demo are our own work.

Website care

Website care is month to month and billed each month, starting on the day you sign up. You can cancel at any time by emailing or calling us. When you cancel, care continues until the end of the month you've paid for, then stops. If you leave, we'll help move your site and domain to you or your new provider.

Other providers

Your site relies on services run by other companies, such as your domain registrar and web host. We'll set them up carefully and help sort out problems with them, but we don't control their systems.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded, including that they will be provided with due care and skill, be fit for any purpose you've told us about, and be supplied within a reasonable time. Nothing in these terms takes away those rights or any other rights you have by law.

Our responsibility

Apart from those guarantees and anything else the law doesn't let us limit, we're not responsible for losses we didn't cause or couldn't reasonably have foreseen, such as lost business from an outage at a provider we don't control.

If something isn't right, tell us at hello@jpsdesignsau.com or on 0480 366 229 and we'll work to fix it. If we can't agree, you can contact the Office of Fair Trading Queensland at the Fair Trading website or on 13 QGOV (13 74 68).

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of Queensland.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your project is the one in place when you accepted your quote.
