Privacy policy
What JPS Designs collects through this website and from website projects, why, and who else sees it. Last updated 31 October 2026.
Template. This policy is a starting draft written for how this website works. Have a lawyer check it before relying on it, and update it if the site or the business changes.
JPS Designs ("we", "us") is a web design business in Ipswich, Queensland, run by Jeremiah Indo Martinez as a sole trader. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and while working on your website, what we do with it, and how to reach us about it.
What this website collects
Price requests. When you press "Send me this price", the details you typed and the options you picked are emailed to our inbox through Resend, an email delivery service. We receive what you wrote: your name, business name and email address, any phone number or note you add, and the price you worked out. We only ask for what we need to reply with a quote. If the form can't send, it offers to open the email app on your device with your message filled in instead, and you choose whether to send it. The same applies if you email, call or text us directly.
Working out a price. Picking your business, size and options on the home page works entirely in your browser. Your choices aren't saved or sent anywhere unless you send the form.
Server logs. This site is hosted by Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel automatically records basic technical details when pages are requested, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use these only to keep the site running and secure.
Fonts, pictures and video. The site's fonts, pictures and video are stored with the site on our web host, so loading them doesn't send your details to anyone else.
Cookies
This website doesn’t set any cookies or store anything in your browser, and it doesn’t use analytics, advertising pixels, social media plugins or any other tracking. It doesn’t load scripts, fonts or pictures from other companies either. That’s why there’s no cookie banner: there’s nothing to agree to.
If that ever changes, we’ll update this policy first, and ask for your consent before setting anything that isn’t needed for the site to work.
If you pay one of our invoices online, Stripe’s payment page is run by Stripe and uses its own cookies, mainly to prevent fraud. Stripe’s own privacy policy covers those.
Information from website projects
When we build or look after a website for you, we may handle your contact details, billing details, and login details for accounts such as your domain registrar, hosting or email. If you pay an invoice online, you enter your card details on a page run by Stripe, our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number. We use these only to do the work you've asked for, keep them confidential, and ask you to change any passwords you shared with us once a project ends.
Before we register a domain in your name or start some projects, we may ask you to verify your identity using Stripe Identity. You photograph your ID (and sometimes take a selfie) on a page run by Stripe. Stripe checks the document and tells us the result; we can see the details and images collected so we can confirm who we're dealing with. We only ask for this when we need it, and we don't use it for anything else.
If we host or maintain your site, we may be able to see enquiries your own customers send through it. We only look at them when needed to fix a problem or when you ask us to, and we never use them for anything else.
Photos, voice messages and words for your site. When we write your pages or sort your photos, you may send us photos of your work, voice messages and notes by email, text or a messaging app. We use them only to build and update your site, we only publish the photos and words you approve, and we delete the ones we didn't use when the project ends. Before you send photos with people or customers' homes in them, check they're happy to appear on your website.
Domains in your name. When we register a domain for you, the domain registrar (such as Cloudflare) needs your name and contact details, and an ABN for a .com.au domain, and passes them to the domain registry, as every registration requires.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
- To do the work you've engaged us for, and to invoice you for it.
- To keep records we're required to keep, such as tax records.
We don't sell your information, and we don't add you to a mailing list unless you ask to be added. We don't use computer programs to make decisions about you: a person reads every enquiry.
Emails from us
We email you to reply to your enquiry and about work you’ve asked us to do. We don’t send newsletters or marketing emails, and we don’t add you to a mailing list. If we ever start, we’ll only email people who ask to be added, and every one will name us, give our contact details and have an unsubscribe link that works within 5 working days, as the Spam Act 2003 requires.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers to run the business: Stripe (payments, invoices and identity checks), Resend (which delivers enquiry form messages to us), our email provider (Google's Gmail), our website host (Vercel), and Cloudflare, which registers our domain, runs its DNS and forwards email sent to our address to our inbox. Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose established providers and only share what each one needs.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that don't go ahead for up to 12 months, in case you come back to us. We keep project and billing records for as long as tax law requires, which is generally five years.
Children
This website and our services are for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you’re under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you. If you think a child has sent us their details, tell us and we’ll delete them.
Keeping it safe
We use secure, password-protected accounts with two-step sign-in where it's available, and we don't store your passwords in plain emails or notes longer than a job needs.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. It’s free, and you don’t have to give a reason.
To have your details deleted, email us from the address you used, or call 0480 366 229. We may ask a question to check it’s you. We then delete your enquiry, our emails with you and any notes, and confirm in writing when it’s done, within 30 days.
The one thing we can’t delete straight away is anything tax law makes us keep, such as invoices for work we’ve done, generally for five years. We keep those locked away, use them for nothing else, and delete them when the time is up.
We’ll answer a request to see or correct your information within 30 days too.
Questions and complaints
If you have a question or complaint about how we've handled your information, contact us first at hello@jpsdesignsau.com or on 0480 366 229. We'll try to sort it out within 30 days.
If you're not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
